Ron Johnson
Ron Johnson holds the title of Vice President of Innovation and Rural Health with Eastern Health, and is currently on assignment with the Newfoundland and Labrador Transformation Planning Office which is leading the development of the new Provincial Health Organization. Ron holds a Diploma in Technology from College of the North Atlantic, a Bachelor of Technology, and a Master of Employment Relations from Memorial University of Newfoundland
Joan Kohler
Joan is a supporter of the Healthcare in the Trinity, Conception, Placentia areas. Born and raised in Bryant’s Cove, she is proud of her roots and enjoys frequent visits home to Newfoundland. She was educated in St Andrew’s School, Bryant’s Cove, St Paul’s High School, Harbour Grace and a graduate of Memorial University. She has resided in Nova Scotia since 1978 and was involved in a family business until her retirement in 2000. Her philanthropic interests have led her to support local charities, hospitals in both Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, as well as participating in a number of missions to Guatemala with the Arms of Jesus Children’s Mission. Joan enjoys spending time with her sons, Perry and Michael and family. Her personal interests include art, golfing, and traveling. Joan is honoured to be invited to serve with the Cirrus Board and looks forward to its future endeavors.
Dr. Regina Becker
Dr. Becker is a family physician with diverse practice including Emergency, Surgery, Long Term Care, Women’s Health and local Locum support, having served the Carbonear area over 30 years now and still passionate about medicine in the midst of our challenges. She especially loves cooking, sailing and the outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Jessica Babb
Jessica Babb was born and raised in Carbonear and is now grateful to be raising her own family in her hometown. Since 2013, Ms. Babb been practicing law at Babb Law Office, a private practice firm established in Carbonear by her father in 1989. Ms. Babbproudly serves as a board member of the non-profit Carbonear Institute for Rural Reach and Innovation by the Sea (CIRRIS) and one of its consulting organizations, the Trinity Conception Placentia Health Care Foundation. Providing guidance and being a part of the function of these organizations its important for Ms. Babb as the aim is to improve healthcare in Newfoundland and Labrador, a very worthwhile and challenging cause.
Don Coombs
Don Coombs in the Chief Development Officer of the Trinity Conception Health Foundation. He has served on the municipal council in Harbour Grace for 30 years, 25 as mayor. He is also the President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of School Councils, the Chair of the St. Francis School Council in Harbour Grace, Chair of the Carbonear Collegiate School Council, President of the Conception Bay North Minor Soccer Association, and Chair of the Conception Bay North Indoor Soccer Association. Don is an honorary life member of the Harbour Grace Fire Brigade and has served on numerous provincial and federal committees. He is also the proud father of daughters Paige and Courtney and husband to Glenda.
